IT Operations Manager / NOC Manager / Technical Operations Leader



An experienced IT Operations Manager is required by a leading managed service provider to lead and improve an operations support team providing exceptional 24x7 support to multiple external customers. You will be a strong people manager and will be responsible for the day to day line management of the team including managing and planning resources and rotas and providing coaching and mentoring to develop and improve team members. You will also be responsible for analysing current working patterns and processes and looking at where service improvements can be implemented in order to improve the quality of the service provided.

Key Accountabilities:

* Manage a team of skilled operators and shift leaders.

* Analysing and improving support processes

* Work closely with the customer and internal stakeholders to plan and ensure successful delivery services.

* Support the drive to improve service by contributing to the identification and resolution of problems as they arise.

Experience & Skills Required:

* Has a track record of delivering success in a similar role within an IT / professional services business / managed services provider environment ideally providing support to multiple external customers

* Strong people management experience with significant experience of managing large teams (14+)

* Experience of the provision of a 24x7 support service

* Strong coaching and mentoring experience

* Strong technical background with a good operational understanding some/all of the following technologies IBMi, Unix, Windows, networking, Monitoring tools

* Significant experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management from an operational perspective gained through ITIL experience.

* Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively at all levels.
